Purpose: Development of MOF based CO2 adsorption system

Date of establishment of the laboratory: 2012.

Achievements:

·         Synthesis and characterization of MOFs (MOF 5 and MOF 74) and ZIFs (ZIF 8).

·         Training of some faculty members, engineers, graduate and undergraduate students on synthesis and characterization of MOFs.

·         Conducting two seminars at KFUPM and one at Saudi Aramco.

·         Preparation of a list of required equipment and chemicals for MOF synthesis and characterization.
